Purdue University's recommendations for Puppy Class protocols

1 hour for 6 weeks. Tuesdays
All courses 120 Euro.

This 6 week course is open to puppies 10-18 weeks of age. These classes are designed to take the guesswork out of raising a behaviourally healthy puppy.

Much of the class revolves around structured off lead play sessions and socialisation with other puppies and their owners.

Some topics and exercises covered include:

• House training unravelled
• Sit/ down/ stay
• Aggression preventative exercises
• Polite greeting of family and friends
• Preventing Destruction and Separation Issues
• Resloving play biting/nipping
• Coming when called
• Preventing Barking

Course notes and handouts are provided.

Dog behaviour experts believe attendance in Puppy Kindergarten Classes provides the most lasting influence toward raising a friendly and well mannered pet.

Basic Obedience and Manners

1 hour for 6 weeks. Tuesdays
All courses 120 Euro.

This 6 week course is suitable for well socialised dogs 5 months and older.The focus is to create a more mannerly family pet and for dogs to acquire the skills that will enable their owners to integrate them more into the fabric of their lives.

Some topics covered include:

• Walking on lead
• Mannerly meeting and greeting friends and family
• House manners and General impulse control
• Chew toy training Home alone training and enrichment
• Sit/ Down/ Stand/ Stay
• Coming when called and off lead control
